The development represents a significant investment in lifestyle infrastructure for the peninsula, with the new facility earmarked to open in autumn 2027. Once complete, the Clubhouse is expected to serve as the social heart of the community.
Thyme Rothwell is operated by Serenitas, a land lease community provider that manages communities for more than 7,700 homeowners across Australia. The Rothwell site is home to 192 homes, purpose-built for active over-50s seeking low-maintenance living without compromise, according to Serenitas.

The Clubhouse has been designed to enhance wellbeing and foster social connection among residents. The facility will include a swimming pool and spa, gym and fitness studio, bowling green, pickleball court, cinema, sports bar, and both indoor and outdoor dining spaces. The mix of amenities reflects what Serenitas describes as resort-style living for active over-50s.

Serenitas CEO Von Slater said the Clubhouse would sit at the core of what the community offers, providing premium facilities designed to support residents who want to stay active and connected. She noted the development reflects growing demand for resort-style living in well-connected coastal locations.

The community is positioned within easy reach of the Redcliffe Peninsula waterfront, dining precincts, medical facilities and public transport, amenities the developer says make it well-suited to active over-50s.
Under the land lease model, residents own their home but lease the land beneath it.
Construction is now underway, with completion of the Clubhouse targeted for 2027.
