Millicent Hunter set a high standard for the local brigade by claiming the title of Sunshine Coast Under 14 Junior Lifesaver of the Year. This distinction places her as the second Redcliffe member in a three-year span to secure the prestigious accolade. Beyond her patrol duties, she acts as a mentor for younger Nippers, embodying the core values of personal growth and community safety.
Can relentless teamwork rewrite national sports records? Alongside her Rescue and Resuscitation partner, Agatha McGoon, Hunter answered that question with gold. A dominant competitive streak featured major victories at the Combined Branch Championships, the Weekend at The Roy, the Queensland Youth Championships, and the Australian Youth Championships, ultimately earning the pair the joint Spirit in Sport Award.

Operating just forty kilometres from the Brisbane central business district, the Redcliffe facility has welcomed families from age five through to masters since its establishment in 1991. Modernised training facilities and a family-oriented culture continue to foster strong connections, supported by weekend canteens and comprehensive water safety education programs that prepare the next generation of lifesavers.
