Widening of M1 coming sooner as Queensland changes tune on motorway funding

With the Queensland Government forking out almost $500 million it had baulked at paying, upgrades to problem-plagued sections of the M1 motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast are set to start sooner than expected.
