Police Lay 498 Charges After Redcliffe Peninsula Drug Investigation

A police investigation targeting an alleged drug trafficking syndicate across Redcliffe and the surrounding Peninsula has resulted in 47 people being charged with 498 offences following a five-month operation.



Police Operation Targets Redcliffe Peninsula Drug Activity

Detectives from the Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch concluded Operation Xray Upshot, which ran between September 2025 and February 2026 and focused on alleged drug trafficking activity across the Peninsula.

The investigation involved multiple search warrants and enforcement actions across suburbs including Deception Bay and Scarborough. Police reported the seizure of almost 560 grams of methylamphetamine, along with $62,000 in cash and eight firearms during the course of the operation.

Authorities also located cocaine, MDMA tablets and drug-related items during a number of searches connected to the investigation.

Deception Bay Search Leads To Multiple Charges

On 16 February 2026, detectives executed a search warrant at a Seagrass Street property in Deception Bay. During the search, officers seized 41 grams of methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, drug utensils, a revolver and approximately $2,000 in cash.

A 25-year-old Deception Bay woman was charged with 94 counts of supplying dangerous drugs along with several additional alleged offences including drug possession and trafficking matters.

A 27-year-old Deception Bay man was also charged with multiple offences including possession of dangerous drugs and two counts of attempting to supply dangerous drugs within a correctional facility. Both were scheduled to appear before Caboolture Magistrates Court on 17 February 2026.

Scarborough Intercept During Investigation

Police also intercepted a silver Mazda3 on Scarborough Road in Scarborough at 12.15 p.m. on 30 January 2026. During a subsequent search of the driver, officers located 17 grams of cocaine.

A 30-year-old Scarborough woman was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and was scheduled to appear before Redcliffe Magistrates Court.

Joseph Crescent Warrant Seizes Drugs And Cash

Earlier in the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant at an address on Joseph Crescent in Deception Bay just after 10.30 a.m. on 11 November 2025.

Police seized 280 grams of cocaine, methylamphetamine, 17 MDMA tablets and more than $20,000 in cash. A 32-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with multiple alleged offences and appeared before Redcliffe Magistrates Court on 12 November 2025.

Following the announcement of the operation’s closure, community responses online included messages thanking police and acknowledging the outcome of the investigation. Some comments also questioned aspects of the enforcement results and raised broader discussions about drug-related issues in the area.

Police indicated that efforts targeting serious drug activity and offenders causing harm within communities will continue. Court proceedings remain ongoing for a number of those charged as a result of the Redcliffe Peninsula investigation.
