Bribie Island Police weekly wrap up, Tuesday April 11

This week officers from Bribie Island attended four domestic violence incidents. Although this represented a noticeable decrease in reported domestic violence matters this week, domestic violence itself remains a significant issue for our community. Officers regularly engage with victims of domestic violence at the station and by phone, as people reach out to the police and local support services for help. Burglary offences continued to be a problem this week, with offences reported at Bestman Avenue, Bongaree, Cosmos Avenue, Banksia Beach, Vanillalily Close, Banksia Beach, Hawaii Court, Banksia Beach and Jacaranda Avenue, Bongaree. In some instances homes were insecure, but in others fly screens were again cut open to gain entry. Officers are actively patrolling the area in response to these offences, so
