Police are investigating following a road rage incident at Caboolture this afternoon during which what appeared to be an air rifle was shot out the window of a car.
Preliminary information suggests a 36-year-old man was driving his work ute north along Beerburrum Road around 1.15pm when another car swerved towards his vehicle in the right lane.
As the man travelled towards Henzell Road he changed lanes, and the same car described as a blue Ford Focus hatchback drove up beside him in the outside lane.
A man then pointed a firearm similar to an air rifle out of the window and fired a single shot as he passed before driving off along Henzell Street.
The victim heard the shot strike his vehicle however there was no significant damage. The man was shaken however uninjured as a result of the incident
