What’s On in Redcliffe This Ekka Week

Ekka Festival is on and has an exciting lineup of events. However, if you’re too lazy to go to the Brisbane Showgrounds, check out these events in Redcliffe this week.

Saturday, 19 August

Classic, Not Plastic, Car Show

Tickets:

  • FREE (audience)
  • $5 for the display vehicles

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Venue: Redcliffe Showgrounds

The Northern District Rod & Customs will be hosting a display of pre-1986 cars and bikes. This is a family-friendly event with food and trade stalls around the area, followed by a cruise on the Redcliffe area.

Alcohol is not allowed in the event’s premises. To maintain the safety and security of everyone, our furry friends are not allowed in the event.

World Helicopter Day

Tickets: FREE

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Venue: Redcliffe Aerodrome

The World Helicopter Day is a chance to have a close encounter with different helicopters and the people who fly them. During Open Hangar Day, spend the day talking to pilots, and take a selfie or two.

More than just seeing the helicopters, there will be kids colouring activities, race cars and drones displays, food and coffee van, and an Air Force Cadet drill demo.

This is an event for the young ones and the young-at-hearts to enjoy.
