Known affectionately as “The Bel,” this 122-year-old landmark has been transformed into a modern dining and entertainment destination based on the designs of KP Architects. The renovations included a complete overhaul of the south side of the hotel, home to the public bar and gaming room.

By mid-September, the new Pavilion Bar and Bistro will open its doors. Additional new bar and dining areas are slated to open in November, including five bars, a pizzeria and a gelato shop.

One standout addition is the former function room turned chic lounge bar and dining area on level 1. With sweeping views of Bramble Bay, this sophisticated space will provide a stunning backdrop for guests to enjoy. In total, the renovated hotel has increased its seating capacity from 800 to over 1,100.

To support the redevelopment, The Belvedere is currently hiring 200 hospitality workers for positions like floor staff, bar staff, kitchen staff and management. The influx of jobs will strengthen the hotel’s workforce as the new venues open.

The driving force behind the renovations is the Lewis Land Group, which acquired the hotel back in 2002. Whilst one bar has remained open since then, the full reopening later this year will showcase the hotel’s restored original features alongside modern upgrades.
