Dr Robyn Littlewood, Chief Executive at Health and Wellbeing Queensland said the initiative is a great opportunity to support local businesses to provide children’s menus that are appealing, healthy and good for business.

“Childhood is a significant time for healthy growth and development, and in establishing the foundations of future health and wellbeing. Good nutrition is a vital part of this,” Dr Littlewood said.

“This Guide for Businesses is a key tool for restaurants, pubs, clubs and cafés on how to make menu choices healthier and applicable to children – with plenty of taste and variety.”

Dr Littlewood said venues, such as The Deli are encouraged to follow the Code of Practice, a series of simple nutritional guidelines to assist the development and introduction of healthy menu options, including drinks.
